Portobello is a small, charismatic, seaside town in Edinburgh, Scotland. The design captures the history and culture of the town. The style is sleek, minimal, and sophisticated but bold and current.

The logomark was designed to symbolise the known markers at the ends of the groynes on Portobello beach. Typeface chosen was inspired by the classic fonts around the area such as the town hall. The Sea and beach colours influenced the palette for the design drawing attention to the seaside history.
